At the Edge of Tomorrow
Held every May for almost two decades now, the annual CETABC Forum is British Columbia’s best event for Continuing Education professionals. We feature informative professional development sessions, an exciting and thought-provoking keynote, and great opportunities to network with your fellow CE and contract training professionals.
This year we’re moving to a new venue at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. It promises a great facility and better access for members travelling from around the province. As always, the professional development workshops will be spiced with lots of opportunities to share your experiences, exchange ideas and explore new opportunities through events like the Panel Discussion and Dialogue Café in addition to social opportunities like the Welcome Reception and Networking Dinner.
Upon Arrival
First thing to do is check in at the Welcome Desk in the lobby of the TRU Residence; it’ll be open Wednesday from 1:00 pm on. You’ll receive a Participant Package with all the information you’ll need for the event. Please also drop off at the Welcome Desk any door prizes or institution swag you’re donating to the Forum. There’ll be a table in this location where you can display your catalogues and brochures.
Facilities
All accommodation is at the TRU Residence & Conference Centre. Despite the name, this is the Forum residence only. The actual conference centre for all Forum sessions is the TRU Activity Centre, just across the street from the Residence. Mailing address for the Activity Centre is:
1055 University Drive
Kamloops BC V2C 0E1
Parking
There are parking fees in effect during the Forum from 08:00 – 17:30 daily. Parking Lot N is an economy lot and is $4 for full day parking. Lot K & H are regular lots and are $5 for full day parking.
Guests renting rooms at the TRU Residence should check-in first as there may be parking included with their stay.
