Daniel Thorpe hails from a small town in the BC interior and has a BA from Simon Fraser University and BEd from the University of Calgary. He then served as an armour officer in the Canadian Army for several years before freelancing as a technology trainer and consultant. This led to an instructor appointment at Langara Continuing Studies department, where teaching adults finally brought together his twin loves of training and technology. So, naturally, Daniel became an administrator - holding a series of positions with CS that culminated in his appointment as Dean in May 2012.
