Your team may have been referred to as the "start-up" or "incubation" unit in your institution, but what does this mean and how can this help de-risk your offerings and strategy? This 90-minute introductory workshop will review key concepts of the lean start-up methodology and include practical exercises for identifying product/market fit, rapid prototyping (such as minimum viable products - MVPs) and scalability.

Getting our Ducks in a Row

Presenter: Claire Sauvé, Associate Director CS, Vancouver Community College

This workshop is intended primarily for managers and directors, particularly for those working on collaborative CETABC projects. In this interactive workshop, we’ll look at the communication tools that we can use (including our MS Teams channel) and formalizing our collaboration strategy.

Zen Email

Does email have you feeling overwhelmed and skeptical that it’s actually made the workplace better?

Banish your stress and join CapU’s CIO, Kristin Wilkes, for a session on achieving email zen and taking back control of your email inbox. This session will cover easy-to-follow email management principles using Microsoft Outlook to help you achieve the enlightenment of an empty email inbox and manage your email, instead of your email managing you. If you don’t use Outlook, not to worry – the principles and techniques can still be applied to your email client of choice.
