The annual CETABC Forum will soon be here! Please forward this update to anyone who’d like to attend, and ensure they’ve completed the Registration Form and Participant Survey.

Event Information

WHEN:

Wednesday, 5 June – Friday, 7 June.

Sessions start at 1:00 Wednesday afternoon and finish Noon on Friday (bag lunch provided).

WHERE:

The North Island College Campus in the beautiful Comox Valley.

Find the Welcome Desk and most sessions at the Stan Hagen Theatre (Campus Map).

REGISTRATION:

as noted above, registration is still open at: Forum 2024 Registration.

Individual registration fee is $360. After registration, please complete the Participant Survey.

ACCOMMODATION:

Participants are responsible for their own accommodation. The group rate at the nearby Hospitality Inn Express has expired but they might still have rooms available. And there are a variety of other places to stay in the Comox area.

Session Highlights

COLLEGE SHOWCASE

The first session Thursday morning will be a College Showcase to bring you up do date on interesting developments and new programmes at your fellow institutions.

PLENARY SESSIONS

Get the latest information on the Future Skills grant and other provincial priorities direct from Ministry representatives in the plenary sessions.

BREAKOUT WORKSHOPS

Breakout workshops will cover such vital topics as:

Using Student Stories for CE Marketing;

  • Microcredentials, an exciting new way to credit student achievement in modular bites;
  • Strategic Planning with Microsoft Planner;
  • The CETABC Innovation Grant;
  • Courageous Dialogues;
  • Allyship in Administration: Indigenization in Continuing Studies;
  • Software for Productivity;
  • Women in Entrepreneurship; and
  • Training CE Practitioners.

Showcase Your College

We request that each institution have a representative(s) available for the College Showcase. They’ll have three to four minutes to talk about what’s new and interesting. AV support will be available if they want to use visual aids; and

Feel free to bring examples of your SWAG to share with other institutions. We’ll have space available by the Welcome Desk to display your promotional and other materials.
