Wednesday, June 7th @ 2:15pm-3:00pm – Responsive Micro-Credential Developments—Adrian Lipsett

How do we go about developing a micro-credential in a timely manner without overloading the sides of too many desks? This presentation will describe and examine the development template used at VCC to take a micro-credential from concept to classroom in four months. We will explore team structure, industry collaboration, budget and timeline considerations, as well as a list of lessons worth incorporating for future developments.

Adrian Lipsett is the Dean of Continuing Studies at Vancouver Community College and has been working in post-secondary for roughly 15 years. With a background in instruction, program design, and leadership, he is currently focusing (along with the wonderful team at VCC) on micro-credentials, badging, and a variety of collaboration opportunities across BC.
